1. Staff Selection Commission – Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL)
The SSC recruits Group B and Group C officers to various posts in various Indian Government ministries. Top posts include Assistant Section Officer at the Intelligence Bureau and Inspector at the Central Bureau of Narcotics. The exam is held in two phases, Tier-I and Tier-II. The syllabus includes reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension. Aspirants must register for the exam before 8th October 2022, while the Tier-I exam will be held in December 2022.
2. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Exam For SBI Probationary Officers
The IBPS exam is among the important government exams of 2022. The State Bank of India (SBI) recruits its clerical officers through this exam. The online registration for IBPS ends on 12th October 2022. The exam is conducted in three phases, with Phase-I (online preliminary exam) from 17th to 20th December 2022. Phase-II (main online exam), Phase-III (psychometric test) and interviews will be conducted in February or March 2023.
3. Railway ‘Group D’ Recruitment
The ‘Group D’ selection in Indian Railways is reserved for various technical and non-technical jobs. The recruitment takes place in phases, and Phase 4 is conducted by three Railway Recruitment Cells (RRC): Central Railway (Mumbai), Eastern Railway (Kolkata) and North Eastern Railway (Gorakhpur). Computer Based Tests (CBT) are being held between 19th September and 07th October 2022. Phase-5 will be conducted by RRC – Southern Western Railway (Hubli) from 06th to 11th October 2022.
4. Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) Recruitment
DSSB is another upcoming govt exam under which the government recruits teaching and non-teaching staff for the Directorate of Education under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi) programme. The exam period is scheduled to start on 03rd November 2022. The syllabus includes general English and Hindi, current affairs, general knowledge, reasoning and numeric ability and data interpretation. However, the exam pattern varies across posts.
5. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)
The Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) conducts AFCAT annually in February and August. You can register for this upcoming government exam, conducted in various stages from December 2022. After clearing the written exam, you must report to any AFSB for officer intelligence and picture perception testing. The next phase includes rigorous physical and psychological tests for five days.
