Manorama News is a Malayalam news and current affairs channel owned and run by the company Malayala Manorama Television (MMTV) and is one of the most popularly watched news channels in Kerala.
The Malayala Manorama group started way back in 1888 with their morning newspaper, and they slowly grew their readership all across India. Soon, with the rise of digital media, MMTV forayed into the space with its own entertainment and news channels, among which is Manorama News.
So, let’s take a look at a few details about Manorama News that you may not know about.
1) The Beginnings of the Manorama News Channel
Manorama News was started on August 17, 2006, by the MMTV group as a free-to-air, Kerala-based news channel with its broadcast primarily in Malayalam.
Their headquarters are based out of Aroor, which is close to Kochi, Kerala’s commercial, industrial, and financial capital. They also have two other regional studios at Kozhikode and Trivandrum, apart from their headquarters at Aroor.
With time and success, Manorama News established agencies in several parts of Kerala, including isolated areas in the region and other district headquarters. Now, they have offices in all the metropolitan cities of India, including Delhi, and even have one in Dubai to cater to the demand for Malayalam news in the Gulf region.
