TVF Pitchers-Season 2, one of India’s most awaited series, is returning after seven years. In this season, Pragati.AI, their startup, is two and a half years old and discusses how after the initial euphoria associated with the launch, the company faced the complex realities of Indian business. To survive, it is now imperative to have critical strategic inputs.
It is well known that TVF makes very realistic and relatable stories. Thus, it did not seem strange to viewers when four people quit their jobs to start something of their own. Many of us know people who have done or are planning to do that. However, Arunabh Kumar explores what happens when people try to shape their destinies. As Arunabh shows us in season 2, things are far from fine.
Moreover, here are 5 interesting facts about the series that will surprise you:
TVF Pitchers – The idea
It was developed much before its launch in 2012 when Arunabh Kumar displayed the idea of Pitchers at the Microsoft Office 365 launch. Still, he waited because the online revolution in India was yet to take place, and he felt like the country was not yet ready for an online series.
Includes more realistic characters
Rather than idealising something that doesn’t fit the actual narrative, the makers of TVF Pitchers chose to include the most realistic elements (the scene, background, experiences, etc.) in the web series.
The last two episodes of season 1 weren’t on YouTube
As YouTube requires a certain number of views for videos over a certain number of ideas, the last episode of season 1 was not available on the site because a fee was also required from the sponsors. Thus, Episodes 4 and 5 were made available on TVFPlay.
The title track went viral
Upon its release, TVF Pitchers’ music went viral. There are already thousands of people using the title track as their ringtone. In dramatic and climax scenes, the background music is pretty intense, while in humorous scenes, the music is lively and light-hearted.
The casting was kept simple
The makers of TVF Pitchers wanted the casting to be as simple as it could be. The makers’ focus was on the conviction that one could fall deep into the character-building and portray the role as accurately as possible. Naveen, Yogi, Mandal and Jeetu, are true-to-life actors, and the show’s reception translated into a 9.7/10 IMDb rating during its initial release.
